Famous Tourist Place in Arunachal Pradesh

1. Tawang

Tawang is a town in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, situated at an elevation of approximately 3,048 metres (10,000 ft) to the east of Bhutan.
Tawang has beautiful lakes around it and you will love the view offered by the place. The 400-year-old Tawang monastery is not only one among the oldest but it is named one among the largest Indian monasteries.

The ancient 17th Century monastery at Tawang is perched on the top of a high mountain thousands of feet above sea level with commanding view of the surrounding landscape and of Tawang town below.This shot was taken on an overcast but clear day with clouds threatening to shroud the monastery and the town below. The monastery is the largest in India and is home to over 500 monks.

2. Itanagar

Itanagar is the capital of the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. The seat of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, the seat of government of Arunachal Pradesh and the seat of Gauhati High Court permanent bench at Naharlagun are all in Itanagar.

3.Roing

Roing is the district headquarter of Lower Dibang Valley district in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. It is the last major township at the north-eastern frontier of India.

4. Ziro

Ziro is the census town in Lower Subansiri district in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. It has been a favourite town for World Heritage Site for a number of years now. In a meeting of Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) on 12 December 2002 it was shortlisted for inclusion in the Tentative List for further nomination to UNESCO for inscription in the World Heritage Site.
