Chanakya, also known as Kautilya or Vishnugupta, was an ancient Indian philosopher, economist, and political strategist. He is best known for authoring the Arthashastra, a treatise on statecraft, economic policy, and military strategy. Chanakya played a crucial role in the establishment of the Maurya Empire, serving as the chief advisor to Emperor Chandragupta Maurya.
