Once there was a devotee in Vrindavan who used to love Thakur ji very much and used to decorate him daily with great emotion. Sometimes he cried while being joyful and sometimes danced. One day, as soon as he started putting on the crown while making up, Thakur would drop the crown every time. Once, twice, thrice he tried it many times, but today Thakur ji was in the mood of doing Leela.
After so many failed attempts, now the devotee got angry, and he started saying to Thakur that he should swear by his Baba and accept the crown. But Thakur ji was firm in his wish and he did accept the request of the devotee.
Then the devotee said you swear on your mother. Thakur ji disagreed. Now the anger of the devotee increased further.
He swore to everyone. I swear on you.. I swear on your cows. I swear on your friends. I swear on the Gopis. I swear on your cowherds. I swear on everyone.
But Thakur ji did not budge. Now the devotee became very upset and sad too. Then he got irritated and said angrily. O Gopiyan’s Rasiya. O Chhalia, Gopiyan’s lover, I swear to Tori Radha, now at least wear a crown.
What was it then? Thakur ji hastily put on his crown.
Now the devotee also got irritated. I gave my oath, gop-gopis, mother, baba, cowherd. You didn’t listen to anyone but agreed after hearing the name of Radha ji. The next day again when the devotee started decorating, this time Thakur dropped the flute.
The devotee smiled lightly and said – I swear to you, not your own, but my Radha. Even then Thakur quickly put on the flute.
Now the devotee came in joy and started crying. The devote said- I understood my Thakur, you only like pure love like Radha Bhav. Dedication is preferred. That’s why you love Radha.
Keeping your spirit as pure as Radha Bhava, keeping your love fully dedicated, and in simplicity is the Lord.
He prayed in joy -Hey my Radhe Ju, I have seen all the beauty of the world, but the peace that is at your feet is nowhere!!
Radhe Radhe ji
